Projects in Mexico and Central America :   1.) "Casa Ananda" helping streetchildren in Mexico-city 2.) Soccer-clubs in San Salvador : After starting a pre-school at a village outside of San Salvador, the need was felt to engage the youth in sports and games, so we provided a football and Team T-shirts and organized tournaments. 3.) Baseball clubs in Nicaragua : One of our volunteers who was taking care of an agricultural project noticed the fascination of the local youths with baseball. An avid baseball player himself, he recruited and trained several teams in the area one of which subsequently competed amongst the nation's best. 4.) Relief work in Solola near lake Atitlan/Guatemala: Hurricane Stan hit south of Mexico and worst in Guatemala end of October 05', where landslides buried an entire village of hundreds of people at once. Solola community near lake Atitlan was most affected. The municipalities did not distribute the food correctly, many trucks with food and drinking water got diverted and could not even reach.Only AMURT with VSS volunteers was able to enter the area with his 4 wheel truck and deliver food and clothing with help from Domingo, a Mayan priest.
